Yes. A paper notebook, Excel, and a few programs with genuinely unlimited free plans. Each option has a limit, though, and the limit is usually not on the pricing page — you meet it in daily work. Below: what is really free, what “free” actually costs, and when paying works out cheaper. BuySale is not free: there is a 7-day trial, after which daily billing starts.
If you are in a hurry, it fits in five lines.
We are not here to mock the notebook: plenty of shops in Uzbekistan still run on one and trade just fine. It simply charges you in something other than money.
For some shops it is enough, for others it is not. The difference is the range of goods and whose hands reach the file. We have a separate page on this, so here is only the core.
These are programs where the word “free” really is in the plan. Everything is taken from their own sites as of 18.09.2026; links are under the table.
5 users, 1 legal entity, 100 products, 100 counterparties, 100 documents and 50 MB. Paid plans come with a 14-day trial. The interface and prices are mostly in Russian.
On the free plan sales analytics cover only the last 31 days. Employee management costs $5 per employee a month, advanced inventory $25 per store a month. Their site says nothing about Uzbekistan, the soʻm or the local tax system.
100 products, 1 shop, 1 employee. Prices are published only in roubles; on 18.09.2026 the cloudshop.uz domain did not respond — we found no separate Uzbek site and no price in soʻm.
The free plan has 1 till and email-only support. It is built for the Russian market: the page mentions neither Uzbekistan, nor the soʻm, nor Central Asia. The Uzbek litebox.uz belongs to an advertising-equipment company and is unrelated.
Taken from each vendor’s own site as of 18.09.2026 and subject to change — open the source yourself before deciding.
Most systems have no free plan, only a trial. The lengths differ a lot, so we put them in one table as of 18.09.2026.
Every section is open, no payment card is asked for, setup is 0 UZS. After that, from 6 630 UZS a day.
Their site states no card is needed and you can cancel at any time.
No card required. Each plan covers only one sales point.
The trial runs at Pro level. Prices are in dollars only, and Uzbek is not among the site languages.
Their site says 14 free days are given after a demo.
Seven days on every plan, the Lite plan for phones included. Each extra sales point is paid for separately.
The Start plan has one workstation, Basic up to three.
No price is published on the site, so you cannot know in advance what follows the trial.
Their site says “one month free”. The Standard plan includes a single till.
Trial lengths come from the vendors’ own sites as of 18.09.2026. Systems that publish no price at all are not in this table.
None of this is a trick — it just is not printed in large type on the pricing page. Check these five things before you choose.
Ask one more thing up front: how you get your data out if you decide to leave. Whether the product list and the debtors can be exported is worth checking on day one — by month three it is too late.
This confusion comes up constantly, so we spell it out.
We are not inventing anyone’s profit or loss figures — we are naming the thresholds. If any one of the four cases below is yours, the free option will run out quickly.
Both free plans above stop right here. In a mini market, a pharmacy or a perfume shop, 100 items is a single rack.
Once a seller works for you, permissions start to matter: seeing cost prices, selling on credit and making returns are separate rights. Free plans are usually built for a single user.
With dozens of debtors, separating the overdue ones by hand is hard. In BuySale credit is kept by phone number, overdue accounts come out as their own list, and the customer can see their own balance.
Free plans almost always cover one shop. With us a second shop opens as a branch on the same account and is paid from one balance — each open branch adds 6 630 UZS a day. There is an honest limit too: no in-app report puts all branches on one screen.
We have no permanently free plan and we do not hide it. The 7-day trial is a real one: every section is open, with no caps.
One last honest note: we are not the cheapest on the market. The tables above contain options cheaper than our lowest tariff, and free ones too. If you have fewer than a hundred products and work alone, try a free plan first — we are not going to pretend that is a bad idea.
Systems with a permanently free plan exist, but none is free without limits. As of 18.09.2026: MoySklad’s free plan allows 5 users, 1 legal entity, 100 products, 100 counterparties and 100 documents; CloudShop’s FREE plan allows 100 products, 1 shop and 1 employee; Loyverse’s core POS is free but sales analytics cover only the last 31 days and employee management is paid; LiteBox’s Basic plan has 1 till and email-only support. All of this comes from the vendors’ own sites and can change.
No. There is a 7-day free trial — every section is open, no daily fee is charged and no payment card is asked for. After the trial, billing runs by the day: one day’s fee is taken from your balance, from 6 630 UZS a day depending on shop type, from 198 900 UZS per 30 days. There is no permanently free plan.
No. While the balance is zero or negative, new sales and intakes are not recorded, but your existing records stay and the top-up screen remains open. Those days are not charged. When money arrives the debt is covered first and the service resumes. You can also export your stock to Excel at any time. There is one exception: if for 6 months after the service stops there is no top-up and no sign-in, the public offer allows the account to be deleted together with its data — you are warned in Telegram at least 30 days before, and signing in or topping up in that time cancels it.
No. We do not ask for a payment card and there is no auto-renewing subscription, so nothing is charged when the trial ends. Installation, setup and training are free as well.
A fiscal receipt comes from an online till (online-NKM) or a virtual till, not from bookkeeping software. Whether the software is free or paid does not settle it. BuySale is not a fiscal till either: it issues no fiscal receipt and is not connected to the tax system — it works alongside yours (fiscal till vs shop software). Ask the tax office or your accountant which option fits your shop.
If your range is small, you record every sale yourself and there is almost no credit, Excel is enough — we will say so plainly. Software matters where something else begins: barcode scanning at the counter, stock deducted automatically on sale, separate permissions for a seller, and debts sorted by due date. Excel does none of that on its own. Our “Instead of Excel” page covers the move in detail.
You can, but know this in advance: BuySale has no automatic import from another system and no button for uploading an Excel or CSV file. You pick items from the catalogue, scan their barcodes or photograph the label. There is no need to fill the list in one night — the till works from day one and the rest of the goods are added as you sell. A day-by-day plan is in switching from another program.
The most useful advice is simple: try it for one day behind the counter. A free plan, our 7-day trial — one day of real trading tells you more than ten pages of comparison.
